Bankruptcy records
You can search for bankruptcy orders against individuals you plan to deal with.
Use the Insolvency Search to check if a bankruptcy order has been made against a person in Singapore.
Why this matters: You should avoid dealing with anyone who is bankrupt but still appears to be involved in running a business.
CaseTrust accreditation
CaseTrust accreditation is awarded to businesses that:
Maintain good business and customer practices
Meet a set of criteria, including transparency in their business and service policies
View CaseTrust-accredited businesses
Media reports
Research the business entity's reputation through news reports and online sources.
Exercise caution if you find:
Adverse reports on the business
The business has a poor reputation among customers
