Registering as a registered qualified individual (RQI)
Corporate service providers (CSP) need to provide corporate services through RQIs. Check the requirements and registration process for RQIs.
Note: You do not need RQI registration if you are filing for your:
Own entity as a director, partner, sole proprietor or other authorised representative
Holding company or related corporations as a group secretary or their authorised employee
Before you register
This guide explains how to register as an RQI. RQI registration is valid for two years. As an RQI, you can file transactions on behalf of your CSP clients.
Who may register
To register as an RQI, you must:
Meet all requirements set out in the Corporate Service Regulations 2025. This includes a mandatory training and proficiency test.
Meet ACRA's "fit and proper" requirements.
Be appointed or employed by a registered CSP.
Note: If ACRA previously cancelled your RQI registration, you must wait two years before reapplying.

Note: If you are a registered public accountant (PA), you do not need to prepare any supporting documents. ACRA will verify your registration directly.

Note: You need to endorse your appointment after a CSP appoints you. Your CSP must add its clients before you can file on their behalf. |
Note: You must renew your RQI registration before it expires. Otherwise, you will be withdrawn from any CSPs that you have been appointed to and you must register as an RQI again.
