Additional SCAQ Module Exemption for Local Polytechnic Graduates

ACRA is pleased to announce that local Polytechnic graduates may now be exempted from a second module in the Singapore Chartered Accountant Qualification (SCAQ) Foundation Programme (FP).  

Polytechnic graduates may now qualify for exemption from the Singapore Taxation module in the FP, in addition to the Principles of Financial Reporting module, if they have completed the relevant subjects as part of their Polytechnic programme. The exemption from the Singapore Taxation module will apply to graduates who have completed the relevant tax modules from 2024.  

The exemptions acknowledge the equivalence of the local Polytechnic’s curriculum to the Foundation Programme’s structure, thereby reducing the time needed for local Polytechnic graduates to complete the SCAQ.
