ACRA strengthens the Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics for Public Accountants and Accounting Entities (the Code), which will take effect from 1 February 2015. The revised Code sets out the standard of professional ethics and auditor independence in Singapore and will ensure that Singapore continues to be aligned to international benchmarks. The revised Code will be issued by early 2015.
ACRA also provides its responses to public feedback from the public consultation on the proposed amendments to the Code. The proposed amendments have been accepted by the Ministry of Finance.
