Registration of JMs and trustees

The Companies Act and Bankruptcy Act require a person to be a PA to act as a JM or trustee in bankruptcy.

ACRA previously registered public accountants specifically for these roles. We no longer register PAs for this purpose.

These PAs were registered only to perform insolvency work. They cannot provide audit services without prior approval from the Public Accountants Oversight Committee.
