Note: You are strongly advised to read the second and third schedule of the LLP Act. This will help you understand:

  • The legal effects of the conversion.

  • Your responsibilities after you convert to an LLP.

How to convert to an LLP

First, apply for a new business name.

Then, use Bizfile’s General lodgement eService to convert your business. The fee is $40, and you will need to use your Singpass to apply.

Once the conversion is approved:

  • You will get a new registration number for your LLP

  • The date of conversion becomes the LLP's registration date

  • The status of your previous business will be updated to "Converted to LLP"
