About IVAS
Established under the umbrella of ACRA, IVAS seeks to foster professional excellence in the areas of business valuation and develop Singapore into a Centre of Excellence in business valuation through:
Promotion of professional valuation standards;
Setting of ethical and professional standards of practice;
Contributions in thought leadership, research, and development;
Provision of quality education and training curriculum; and
Promotion of professional qualification and certification in business valuation.
Through these initiatives, IVAS will seek to broaden the talent pool, deepen the expertise of business valuation professionals, uphold the public trust in the role they perform and enhance the reputation of the business valuation profession in the region.
IVAS launched the Chartered Valuer and Appraiser (CVA) programme in 2016, which is Asia’s first professional business valuation certification programme that is benchmarked against international standards.
IVAS is a member of the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC), the global standard setter for valuation.
IVAS Council
The IVAS Council oversees all IVAS initiatives and provides strategic direction to promote, facilitate and support the growth and development of the business valuation field in Singapore.
It comprises experienced industry practitioners from diverse backgrounds, all committed to upholding high standards of ethics and professionalism for business valuation.

IVAS Working Groups
The IVAS Working Groups are established by the IVAS Council to support key initiatives across four areas: Certification and disciplinary standards, learning and assessment, professional development, and standards and technical guidance.
Each group plays a vital role in maintaining professional excellence and advancing the Business Valuation profession.
Certification and Disciplinary Working Group (CDWG)
The CDWG oversees the certification of business valuers and appraisers as Chartered Valuers and Appraisers. It develops alternative pathways to recognise professional business valuation expertise and oversees the IVAS Disciplinary Framework.

Professional Development Working Group (PDWG)
The PDWG oversees the Accountancy Sector Skills Framework for Business Valuation and the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Framework to promote professional standards and best practices among CVA holders. It reviews relevant CPD programmes, manages IVAS learning and development initiatives, and coordinates outreach efforts with relevant industry partners.
