Our history
ACRA was formed on 1 April 2004 as a statutory board following the merger of the Registry of Companies and Businesses (RCB) and the Public Accountants' Board (PAB). The merger brought together:
Monitoring of corporate compliance with disclosure requirements
Regulation of public accountants performing statutory audits
On 1 April 2023, we merged with the:
Singapore Accountancy Commission (SAC)
Accounting Standards Council (ASC)
This merger strengthened our ability to regulate, set standards, and develop the accountancy sector.
Our responsibilities
